Gov. Nikki Haley’s book: South Carolina ‘blood sport’ - POLITICO.com

Editor: For the consummate politician writing a book seems to work... or at the very least doing so puts so much more doubt out there adding to the confusion about who is telling the truth... or some resemblance of the truth. But then, that is the whole idea isn't it?

Gov. Nikki Haley’s book: South Carolina ‘blood sport’ - POLITICO.com: "“The reporter was asking if the allegation was true. What? You have got to be kidding!” Haley writes. “Once again, I was being forced into the humiliating position of having to deny being unfaithful to my husband. It was a lie, it was ugly, it was sexist, and it was crowding out all the issues the people really cared about in the campaign. Again I found myself wondering: How much are these guys getting paid?”"

Study: 8 states get 'F' on corruption - MJ Lee - POLITICO.com

Editor: It took a 'Study' to tell us this? The only thing transparent about South Carolina politics is the fact that it isn't.

Study: 8 states get 'F' on corruption - MJ Lee - POLITICO.com: "Eight state governments received a failing F grade when it comes to transparency, accountability and anti-corruption efforts, while not a single state earned an A, according to a comprehensive new study released Monday.

Michigan, North Dakota, South Carolina, Maine, Virginia, Wyoming, South Dakota and Georgia received failing grades in the State Integrity Investigation – an analysis of all 50 state governments conducted by the Center for Public Integrity, Global Integrity and Public Radio International."

Shuttle to Dorn Veterans Hospital (Sumter Lodge No. 364 AFM)

Editor: Local DAV Shuttle van volunteer driver is a proud Veteran of the largest and most powerful military in the world.

Michael "Mike" Affronte is a true American who doesn't hesitate to give of his time for the good of others.

As a Mason, Mike is also a member of the largest and oldest fraternity in the world whose members have included Kings, Presidents, Prime Ministers, Statesmen, Generals, Admirals, Supreme Court Chief Justices, corporate CEOs, opera stars, movie stars, and probably, your next door neighbor.

A Past Master of Sumter Lodge No. 364 AFM located on Alice Drive right here in Sumter, Mike's service to his community and fellow man goes largely unnoticed as does the work of many of his Masonic brother's.

From this Veteran who is also a proud Mason: Thanks Mike, for your charitable nature. It is much appreciated.
