Two Sumter businessmen have been arrested and charged with operating an illegal gaming house after devices police consider video poker machines were seized from a restaurant.
Kevin Blake Collins, 46, of 608 N. Purdy St., and Kenneth Scott Estep, 39, of 101 Saratoga St., were arrested Wednesday after law enforcement raided the Palmetto Oyster House on West Wesmark Boulevard. Officers from the Sumter Police Department's Narcotics and Vice Unit, assisted by the Sumter County Sheriff's Office's Drug Unit and the State Law Enforcement Division, reportedly seized two video poker machines and more than $600 at 6:30 p.m."
